John Handago MD

With more than 40 years as a physician, John Handago, MD, brings extensive expertise to his work at Alliance Spine Associates, LLC. Dr. Handago sees patients in the Fair Lawn, New Jersey office, expertly evaluating, diagnosing, and treating orthopedic problems, such as joint injuries, sports injuries, and other orthopedic pain conditions. 

Dr. Handago completed his undergraduate degree at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. He earned his medical degree at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed a clinical clerkship at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.

Dr. Handago completed his internship and residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. He completed a fellowship at St. Barnabas Medical Center (now Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center) in Livingston, New Jersey.

With his patient-first philosophy, Dr. Handago treats each person with respect and care. He emphasizes minimally invasive surgical approaches to lead his patients to the quick and successful recovery.
